Teign Contemporary, a collaboration of markmakers and poets

These photos of our Haldon Traces project will show you what we are made of. They are huge collaborative panels showing Forest, Heath and Folk, just three areas of research at this early stage of work. They were on show during June at our second exhibition of Haldon Traces at TAAG in Teignmouth

This treasure trove of art and poetry started in autumn 2025 with collaborative walks across Haldon Forest and heathland, workshops and poetry workshops, culminating in an exploratory spring exhibition of developmental work at Birdwood House in Totnes. And a stunning display of work and poetry performance continued in summer 2026 at TAAG in Teignmouth.

And the work goes on. A rather splendid outdoor exhibition is planned with Forestry England, displaying 25 panels of artwork and poetry along the wheelchair accessible forest walk.
